Here’s what you need to know about official announcements regarding Sonic Rumble Party updates, including a limited-time Smurfs crossover event running from March 16 to April 15, 2026. During the Smurfs event, players can unlock Smurf characters as new skins, including Papa Smurf, Smurfette, Blossom, and Wild Smurf, and a special Smurfs-themed stage will be available. Players can acquire special items through the Smurfs Event Pass or the Red Star Ring Shop. The premium tab of the Event Pass includes the Papa Smurf skin and Cake buddy items. The shop features characters like Smurfette with her SmurfFu skill and Blossom with her Flower Power skill. Alongside the Smurfs event, Sonic Rumble is relaunching as Sonic Rumble Party, featuring a new Party Rumble game mode with over 30 minigames for up to eight players. These quick, one-round minigames are exclusive to Party Rumble.

Sonic Rumble Party Introduces Smurfs Event with Toy Capsules, Daily Claw Machine, and Friends Upgrades (Mar 16 – Apr 15, 2026)

The new Toy Capsules system allows players to earn Skin fragments, with better performance in rounds yielding greater rewards. As the Toy Capsule system levels up, the rewards change, and players have a chance to earn Puzzle Pieces. Collecting Puzzle Pieces allows players to complete puzzles for additional rewards. Red Star Rings can now be obtained through both completing puzzles and via the Season Pass. Players now receive four free daily attempts at the Daily Claw Machine, and the Friends feature has been improved for easier use. SEGA has announced that the Smurfs event is now live in Sonic Rumble Party and will be available until April 15, 2026, at 5:00 PM Brasilia Time.
