Moscow Game Hub Connects with Brazilian Market in São Paulo Initiative The Moscow Game Hub is undertaking a significant initiative in São Paulo, Brazil, from April 30 to May 3, 2026. This event represents the first large-scale presentation of Russian video game projects to the Brazilian public and the professional sector. Anastasia Rybkina, Deputy General Director for Strategic Development at the Creative Industries Agency of Moscow, detailed the event's objectives in an exclusive interview with Players For Life. "We aim to import Brazilian games into Russia," Rybkina stated. "Brazil is our main partner, not only for entering your market but also for accessing the entire Latin American market." She noted that the Moscow cluster is the first in Russia dedicated to video game development and that this mission is the agency's second focused on games and animation.
The Moscow Game Hub itself is described as Russia's premier cluster for video game development. This hub offers comprehensive support, guiding an idea from its initial concept through to a global launch. Its infrastructure encompasses over 55,000 square meters and features advanced technology, including motion capture studios, sound recording rooms, high-resolution cinemas, lecture halls, cyber sports arenas, and exhibition pavilions, providing complete facilities for content creation at any level. The festival also offers networking opportunities with industry representatives from Moscow's video game scene. Rybkina reported that the mission had already facilitated over 100 meetings with Brazilian companies, underscoring a strong interest in building a closer relationship in the future. She emphasized the focus on developing the sector within Russia through the cluster model. Rybkina also expressed pride in Russia's gaming legacy, citing the creation of Tetris, one of the most widely distributed games in history. Economically, Russians spend an estimated $5 billion annually on video games, a figure that reportedly exceeds book consumption. The nation, known for both Tetris and Dostoevsky, seeks to strengthen ties with Brazil. Discussions have also touched upon Russian game titles, including a shooter.
Moscow Game Hub Showcases Russian Video Games in São Paulo Tour and Business Mission
As part of the São Paulo event, the Moscow Game Hub is hosting a free bus tour that will circulate the city for three days. This tour will showcase new Russian video games and offer exclusive behind-the-scenes looks at popular titles. The tour is open to everyone and will visit key locations, including Avenida Paulista, Estádio do Pacaembu, Parque Ibirapuera, and Login House EXP. Visitors can test nine projects across various genres at street venues and computer clubs. Additionally, a cyber sports marathon is scheduled to take place at a major gaming center. Concurrently, a business mission involving ten Moscow companies is taking place in São Paulo from April 28 to May 1. This mission is focused on crucial topics such as publishing and localizing Russian games, licensing, placement on digital platforms, collaborative development of game and animated products, and technology exchange.
