The city of Vassouras, located approximately 124 km from Rio de Janeiro, holds a significant historical heritage. Once a major center of coffee production during the 19th century, the region now preserves its legacy through its architecture, culture, and identity. The opening session, scheduled for 9:00 AM, will offer an overview of the current state of esports in Brazil and globally. Discussions will cover the roles of government, academia, and the market, as well as challenges related to the sector's legitimacy, regulation, integrity, and governance. Throughout the day, the forum will feature six thematic panels with national and international speakers: Panel 1 (9:30 AM - 10:30 AM): An Overview of Research in Sports, exploring research avenues, methodological challenges, and the integration of academia and industry. The forum will conclude with a session to summarize key insights and recommendations, followed by networking opportunities and the formation of working groups for ongoing discussions.
