Microsoft has launched Xbox mode for Windows 11 PCs in select markets, including Brazil. This feature aims to enhance the PC gaming experience by mimicking a console interface, allowing for quick game initiation via controller. The mode presents a simplified interface focused on the user's game library and recently played titles, free from background distractions. Key features of Xbox mode include: Browsing and launching games using an optimized interface for controller navigation. Seamless switching between Xbox mode and the standard Windows 11 workspace. Access to an aggregated game library, featuring the full Xbox Game Pass catalog and installed games from major PC stores. Following its initial introduction on portable Windows devices as the Full Screen Experience, Xbox mode has been refined based on player feedback. The feature, now officially named Xbox mode, is being gradually rolled out to Windows 11 users.

Xbox mode is now available on a broader range of Windows 11 devices, including laptops, desktops, and tablets, extending beyond its initial debut on portable devices like the Asus ROG Xbox Ally X handheld. Jason Ronald, Vice President of NextGen at Xbox, noted that insights gained from these earlier implementations have directly influenced the development of Xbox mode for Windows 11 PCs. This launch is part of Xbox's ongoing commitment to ensuring a consistent experience across all screens and offering players greater choice in how and where they play. The Xbox mode is rolling out to laptops, desktops, and tablets in selected markets. While some gamers can download the feature immediately, availability will expand to more players over the coming weeks. Windows remains a vital component of the PC gaming ecosystem, driving innovation through its open platform. The synergy between Windows and Xbox combines the expertise gained in creating a premier gaming operating system with evolving experiences that cater to gamers' preferred playstyles and locations. Xbox mode is being progressively made available to all PC users running Windows 11.
