Capcom has released the first major update for Resident Evil Requiem, version 1.110.000, primarily addressing technical issues that affected the PC version at launch. The patch, approximately 1.4 GB, includes crucial fixes for PC, as well as adjustments for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Download sizes vary by console: 1.078 GB on PlayStation 5 and nearly 2.9 GB on Xbox Series X|S. The update addresses multiple visual bugs and fluidity issues. Specific corrections include: Stiff Weapons: Fixed a glitch, reported by many PlayStation 5 players, where the grips of certain long weapons stretched and became rigid, protruding from characters' shoulders. Visual Artifacts: Resolved a graphics issue in the drainage room that caused large black spots to appear when a zombie's body hit the floor. Frame Rate Improvements: Eliminated minor frame drops that occurred when interacting with specific environmental objects or during item box opening and closing animations. Ray Tracing: Corrected incorrect white points appearing on some surfaces when the Ray Tracing graphic option was set to maximum. Notably, Capcom released a separate Day One patch (version 1.1.0) with specific optimizations for a future Nintendo console.
Optimizing Path Tracing Performance and Resolving Technical Issues on PC & Steam Deck in Latest Update of Resident Evil Requiem
On PC, the 1.4 GB update focuses on improving Path Tracing stability and performance, taking into account GPU limitations. It also fixes crashes, stutters, and visual issues reported since launch. An active Steam connection is required to apply the update. NVIDIA users should update to GeForce Hotfix Driver 595.76 for optimal performance. However, this update breaks RE Framework mod support, causing crashes when running mods. Some known issues, such as the W870 Police Shotgun glitch and upscaling-related crashes, remain unresolved. The primary goal of the update is to stabilize Path Tracing performance and resolve frame rate drops (up to 16%) experienced by users of NVIDIA RTX 40 and 50 series graphics cards. To address related issues, NVIDIA released driver update GeForce 595.71 to resolve severe energy consumption anomalies in the game. Although Resident Evil Requiem is not officially supported on Steam Deck, it seems to run smoothly, and Capcom's engine optimizations now allow the game to achieve a stable 40 FPS using the FSR 3 Balanced upscaling mode. Finally, Capcom refined the user interface (UI) across all systems, implementing a dynamic text box resizing model that resolves issues with subtitles being cut off or overlapping in different languages.

- Capcom Fighting All-Stars
- Brief Summary
- The shadow of fear was approaching Metro City. A man only known as Death, was running around Metro City with a bomb. The bomb was codenamed "Laughter Sun". Mayor Mike Haggar contacted the characters listed above in order to locate and defeat Death and then defuse the bomb. Codes were needed to disarm the bomb, and that is where the Code Holders subtitle of the game comes into play. D.D. and his teammates, Rook and Ingrid, were the Code Holders. Their codes are Ogre, Fallen Angel, and Isis. The game had a time limit, and depending of how long the player took to finish the game, the ending would vary. Originally, Capcom Fighting All-Stars was planned to be a 2D sequel to Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001, before being converted to 3D. However, due to SNK's financial troubles and restructuring, the title was redesigned as a Capcom-only crossover with twenty former SNK members designing it, using the models previously built for the original title. Like SNK's KOF: Maximum Impact games, it was designed to translate a 2D fighting game series into 3D. This was done previously in the Street Fighter EX series, which Capcom co-produced with Arika. Capcom beta-tested the game, but after negative feedback from players and more months in development, the game was canceled in August 2003. According to an interview with former The King of Fighters director Toyohisa Tanabe, a secret character from Tanabe's old company (SNK) was set to be playable in Capcom Fighting All Stars.. While not confirmed, the figure bears a heavy resemblance to K' or Kyo Kusanagi.
