Leaked In-Game Ad Reveals Forza Horizon 6 Premium Edition Details, Japan Setting, and Release Date (May 2026)

Forza Horizon 6’s release date may have been inadvertently revealed via an in-game advertisement in Forza Horizon 5. On January 14, 2024, XboxEra reported that an image, captured within Forza Horizon 5 by the Xbox Infinite profile (based in Saudi Arabia), displayed an announcement for Forza Horizon 6 before being removed. The advertisement detailed the Forza Horizon 6 Premium edition, which includes early access from May 15, 2026, a VIP subscription, a welcome package, a car pass, a Team Attack car pack, an Italian Passion car pack (added post-launch), and two premium expansions (also post-launch). Pre-orders will also include access to an exclusive, preconfigured Ferrari J50. The Premium edition’s early access date points to a May 19, 2026, release for the standard edition. VGC has since confirmed the legitimacy of the leaked image and release date. The advertisement revealed that Forza Horizon 6 will be set in Japan, showcasing Japanese car culture and locations such as rural landscapes, Mt. Fuji, Tokyo, and elevated highways. A previous leak on Instagram also indicated a Japanese setting, and the leaked image mentioned both a Time Attack Car Pack and the post-launch Italian Passion Car Pack.
