Amazon Prime Video’s Wolfenstein Series Taps Kilter Films and Station Eleven Team for Action-Packed Adaptation

Amazon is developing a Wolfenstein television series. Kilter Films, known for its work on the Fallout series for Amazon, will produce the show alongside the team behind Station Eleven. This project follows the success of the Fallout games and the recent announcement of a second season for Amazon Prime Video’s Fallout series, signaling a strengthened partnership between Amazon and Bethesda/ID. The Wolfenstein adaptation is a strategic expansion for the streaming service. The Wolfenstein franchise originated as a stealth game, Castle Wolfenstein, in 1981. It achieved widespread popularity with ID Software’s Wolfenstein 3D in 1992. After a period of reduced prominence compared to titles like Doom, Quake, and Call of Duty, MachineGames successfully revitalized the series with Wolfenstein: The New Order. This revival led to several spinoffs and a sequel released in 2017. While the cast has not yet been announced, producers have pledged an accurate adaptation of the recent universe developed by MachineGames and Bethesda.
