Actress Mckenna Grace attended the 2024 Oscars in a custom Vera Wang dress with pockets, which she used to bring five Pokémon card booster packs and card sleeves into the ceremony. Grace hoped to become the first celebrity to open Pokémon cards during the awards show and also planned to share the packs with friends, including her Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire costar, Mason Thames. At the event, Grace opened a pack and pulled a Full Art Clefairy ex, a card worth an estimated $75 to $150. She also passed some cards to Thames.
