Astro Bot has received praise from both the industry and players this fall. It is undeniably a delightful game that everyone has enjoyed playing. The title features impeccable polish and gameplay that rivals even the best Super Mario games. Completing the full adventure takes approximately fifteen hours, and Team Asobi has announced plans for additional content via an upcoming free DLC. This information was disclosed by Nicolas Doucet in an interview with YouTube channel ‘Quest Daily’, where he mentioned that these additions will include challenging speedrun levels, more VIP bots to rescue, and something with a toy-like feel. While the exact nature of these features is yet to be fully detailed, players can look forward to minor enhancements rather than new adventure segments. Speculation continues about potential licensed characters or worlds that could be integrated into Astro Bot in the future, such as Rayman, Assassin’s Creed, Hitman, Final Fantasy, Half-Life, or Black Myth Wukong.
We will be releasing free downloadable content this year. It will not be large in scale but will focus on a feature that was well-received in ASTRO’S PLAYROOM: speedruns. Previous speedruns existed with relatively short levels, but now players can replay and attempt to shave off more time. Additionally, new VIP robots to rescue will appear, introducing characters who have yet to be included. This content will indeed offer challenging levels. If feasible, we also aim to include an element that resembles a toy, something appealing to all players. However, this aspect is still uncertain. The challenging aspects are definitely planned for inclusion.
