James Cameron Engagé sur Avatar 4 et 5 Despite les Défis Personnels et le Long Calendrier de Production

James Cameron a indiqué qu’il ne se retire pas d’Avatar 4 et 5,Despite avoir admis que la vaste entreprise pourrait être trop difficile pour lui personnellement. Alors qu’Avatar: The Way of Fire and Ash est prévu pour sortir en salles ce décembre, Cameron reste engagé à mener à bien toute la saga. Dans une interview accordée au magazine Empire, Cameron a exprimé sa détermination, déclarant : « Je me sens bien, je suis prêt à y aller. » Toutefois, il a également riconosci que le long calendrier de production, potentiellement sept années de plus, soulevait des questions sur sa capacité à tout faire lui-même. Malgré cela, il a affirmé : « Je ne vais pas abandonner. » Si la charge de travail devient trop lourde, Cameron a un collaborateur de confiance en tête : Robert Rodriguez. Cameron tient Rodriguez en haute estime en tant que réalisateur, louant particulièrement sa fidélité au scénario lors de leur collaboration sur Battle Angel Alita. Bien que Cameron apprécie les compétences de Rodriguez, il n’a pas encore nommé celui-ci comme remplaçant direct pour réaliser les prochains opus d’Avatar. Il a reconnu que, à l’âge de 70 ans, s’il se trouve dans l’incapacité de gérer les demandes des projets, un soutien important sera nécessaire.
