Capcom is fully engaged in its marketing campaign for “Monster Hunter Rise,” with the February 28, 2025 release expected to be a significant event in the video game industry. Beyond their impressive booth at the Paris Games Week, the Japanese publisher has traveled to the French capital to demonstrate the importance of the French market. The focus is now shifting towards the international stage, particularly since the World episode allowed Western players to discover this beloved series from Japan. As a result, Capcom has organized a showcase presenting new gameplay images and primarily announcing the arrival of an open beta on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series, with cross-play compatibility. Participants will receive a special accessory to adorn their weapons or Seikret mount, along with a useful items pack in the full version of “Monster Hunter Rise.”
The public beta testing will include three distinct experiences: the complete character creation tool with transferable character creation data for use in the full game upon release, a scenario sequence, and a free hunt for the Doshaguma. The scenario sequence will enable players to explore the game’s opening scene as well as tutorials during a Chatacabra hunt. In the Doshaguma hunt, players can pursue an Alpha from a pack of Doshaguma or venture into the Windy Plains. Both the story trial and Doshaguma hunt can be enjoyed in solo mode. However, players also have the option to use a SOS rocket to form groups of up to four players online, or request assistance from machine-controlled Support Hunters.
The public beta test for Monster Hunter Wilds will take place at the following times for each platform:
