Sega and Lizardcube have officially announced that the Sega Villains Stage DLC for Shinobi: Art of Vengeance will be released on April 3, 2026, for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Nintendo Switch. The DLC is priced at $8.99 and includes: Three new bosses: Death Adder (Golden Axe), Goro Majima (Yakuza), and Dr. Eggman (Sonic the Hedgehog) Six new music tracks Five new stages inspired by Sonic the Hedgehog, Golden Axe, and Yakuza/Like A Dragon: the Desert, Mad Train, and ENE Corp Laboratory (unlocked after completing the fourth zone in the main game). Three new Ninpo powers Three new costumes for Joe Musashi that reference other Sega franchises Two new Boss Rush modes Owners of the Digital Deluxe Edition will receive the DLC for free. An animated trailer is available. A free update will be released on April 3 alongside the DLC, adding a Hardcore Mode, modifying the combat system, and adjusting character outlines, map settings, and tutorial display resources. Also releasing for Shinobi: Art of Vengeance on April 3 is an AI-created Villains Level expansion pack featuring two new Boss Rush modes.
