The Rogue Prince of Persia Expands to Nintendo Switch & Switch 2, Now Available with Launch Content

The Rogue Prince of Persia, initially launched in early access in May 2024 and officially released on August 20, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, is now available on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Ubisoft’s Evil Empire studio spent months optimizing the game for Nintendo’s consoles, tailoring it for both handheld and hybrid play, and emphasizing short, dense gameplay sessions. The developers at Ubisoft affirmed that these versions include all launch-day content and features, leveraging the hybrid format’s capabilities. The Rogue Prince of Persia on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 retains the core experience of other editions, enhanced with a unique artistic approach specific to this release. Physical copies for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 will be available starting April 10, 2026, via UI Entertainment. Retailers are currently accepting preorders for both the Standard and Immortal Editions on Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and PlayStation 5. In addition to the game itself, the Immortal Edition includes a premium SteelBook case, a double-sided poster, and fine art cards that assemble into the game’s world map.

The game’s soundtrack, composed by Persian-American artist ASADI, is currently available on all major streaming services and Ubisoft Music’s YouTube channel. A vinyl edition can also be preordered through Laced Records. The launch trailer is available for viewing online.
