Tomb Raider: Next Official Game Already Offers Free Content Before Release

Tomb Raider Catalyst: Lara's North India Adventure with Giant Map and New Enemies

At The Game Awards 2025, the Tomb Raider franchise unveiled two projects: a brand-new game, Tomb Raider: Catalyst, slated for release in mid-2027, and Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, a remake of the original 1996 game, expected to arrive in 2026. In celebration of these announcements, Amazon is offering free content for immediate access. Tomb Raider: Catalyst, developed by Crystal Dynamics using Unreal Engine 5, is a sequel to Shadow of the Tomb Raider that takes place years after Tomb Raider: Underworld. The storyline follows an experienced Lara Croft as she journeys to North India after a supernatural earthquake unleashes ancient secrets and powers. Croft must uncover the cause of the seismic event and prevent those who seek to exploit the released energy, averting a potential global catastrophe. Alix Wilton Regan will voice Lara Croft in the game, which reportedly features the largest Tomb Raider map to date. Crystal Dynamics has not yet disclosed combat details and enemy encounters. Another Tomb Raider game is also scheduled for release in 2027.
