Lenny Kravitz Joins Video Game Cast as '007: First Light' Villain Bawma

IO Interactive has announced that Lenny Kravitz will play the villain Bawma in the upcoming video game 007: First Light, joining Patrick Gibson in the cast. This marks Kravitz's first role in a video game, adding to his previous acting credits in films such as The Hunger Games series, The Butler, Precious, Shotgun Wedding, Blink Twice, and the animated Spider-Man: Rocks project. Kravitz expressed excitement about bringing a new character to the James Bond universe and praised IO Interactive for the potential and qualities of the villain he embodies. In 007: First Light, Kravitz plays Bawma, the leader of Aleph, a global black market arms network operating from a ship graveyard in Mauritania. A leaked trailer offered a glimpse of Bawma, showing him delivering a Bond-villain-style monologue before kicking a character into a crocodile pit, leaving Bond hanging precariously over the edge. The full trailer will premiere during The Game Awards 2025. 007: First Light is scheduled to release on March 27, 2026.
