Last month, boxer Ed was teased through the World Tour mode, and now he is back with a full presentation that comes across as quite arrogant. This character, who attempts to blend elements of Balrog and M. Bison, seeks to assert his personality despite not appealing to everyone due to his rebellious blond streak. Thanks to his agility and Psycho Power, Ed can maintain distance from opponents, particularly through his Psycho Flicker—a flashing jab that can be thrown in three different directions (low, medium, high) and is reminiscent of Ryuji Yamazaki’s Elongate Arms from Fatal Fury and The King of Fighters series. New sets of moves have been added to the character, while some old attacks have also been reimagined for this latest release.
Psycho Flicker: a quick distance jab that can go in one of three directions to catch the opponent off guard and is crucial in Ed’s ability to control space. By holding down the button, Ed will use his Psycho Snatcher from Street Fighter V, allowing him to draw opponents towards him with tentacles of Psycho Power.
Ed will be available starting September 27, 2024, for all owners of Street Fighter 6 Deluxe Edition, Ultimate Edition, or the Year 1 Character Pass. His Costume 2, which was featured in Street Fighter V’s story mode, will also become available on the same date.
