Fatal Fury S2: Unveiling Six New Heroes (Jan-Jun ’26) – Taekwondo Legacy Continues with Kim Jae Hoon, Nightmare Geese, Blue Mary, and Wolfgang Krauser; Teasers for Hokuto no Ken Characters in May-June!

Fresh off its win for Best Fighting Game of 2025 at The Game Awards, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves gains further momentum with the launch of Season 2 on January 22, 2026, signaling SNK’s commitment to long-term support. Season 2 will introduce six new characters, released monthly from January to June 2026. Four of these characters have been revealed: Kim Jae Hoon, the younger brother of Kim Dong Hwan, will launch alongside Season 2 in January, reinforcing the series’ Taekwondo heritage. Nightmare Geese, a spectral form of Geese Howard, will arrive in February. Blue Mary, who first appeared in Fatal Fury 3 (1995) and recently in The King of Fighters XIV and XV, will return in March. Wolfgang Krauser, the final boss from Fatal Fury 2, will make his first major appearance since KOF 98 in April, complete with his stage and music. In addition to these confirmed characters, teasers strongly hint at the inclusion of fighters from Hokuto no Ken (including Ryo Sakazaki as Mr. Karate) in May and June, though the final two character reveals remain under wraps.

Alongside the new characters, SNK will release a major balancing update for Season 2, informed by community feedback, that will affect the entire roster and certain aspects of the combat system. Following the conclusion of the first DLC season in December with the arrival of Mr. Big, SNK plans to support the game’s longevity with competitions and increased cash prizes in 2026.
