SNK used EVO Japan 2026, currently underway in Tokyo, to announce the final DLC character for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Season Pass 2: Mr. Karate. This character is scheduled for release this month, in May, as previously teased. The masked warrior revealed is Robert Garcia, not Takuma Sakazaki or his son. Mr. Karate is back on the streets of South Town in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. Mr. Karate is the final addition to the Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Season Pass 2, arriving in May 2026. The season pass also includes Kim Jae Hoon, Nightmare Geese, Blue Mary, Wolfgang Krauser, and one additional unnamed character. A Legend Edition of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is available, bundling both Season Pass 1 and 2. However, the base game, Season Pass 1, and individual DLC characters are not sold separately. The release schedule for Season Pass 2 DLC characters may be subject to change without advance notification.

This marks the first time Robert Garcia assumes the role of Mr. Karate, using the name simply as “Mr. Karate.” A new trailer has been released, offering a glimpse of his tengu mask and fighting style, though it does not feature gameplay. Robert Garcia was a prominent character in the Art of Fighting series, which predates Fatal Fury. Mr. Karate, known as the ultimate masked warrior, is characterized by his exceptional strength and skills. He joins Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Season 2 as DLC in May 2026. The game’s new story mode contains over 15,000 voiced words in both Japanese and English, complemented by nearly 150 new illustrations. Season Pass 2 can be purchased for $19.99. Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Robert Garcia’s Mysterious Mr. Karate Transformation in Fatal Fury – Insight to Come?

The decision for Robert Garcia to adopt the Mr. Karate persona is not yet explained. It is recalled that in the original Art of Fighting, Takuma Sakazaki used the Mr. Karate mask to conceal his coerced involvement with Mr. Big and Geese Howard’s criminal organization, forcing him to confront his own son. Future SNK reveals will likely clarify whether Robert Garcia’s assumption of the mask is voluntary or involuntary.
