The Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026 in Japan brought several major announcements, including updates for “Dragon Ball Xenoverse,” “Dragon Ball Sparking Zero,” and “Dragon Ball FighterZ.” Most notably, organizers officially greenlit “Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3” at the event. Previously known as “Project Age 1000,” the game is scheduled for release in 2027 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. “Dragon Ball Sparking Zero” is also set to receive a major content expansion titled “Super LimitBreaking Neo.” Launching in the summer of 2026, this DLC will introduce over 30 new characters to the game, bringing the total roster to over 200 fighters (including transformations).

Dragon Ball Z Sparking Zero DLC Introduces 30+ New Characters, Environments, and More in Summer 2026

The new characters will include figures from across the “Dragon Ball” timeline, such as Grandpa Gohan, Tao Pai Pai, Nam, General Blue, Super 17, Champa, and Pikkon, as well as GT variations of Vegeta and Trunks. In addition to the new characters, the “Super LimitBreaking Neo” expansion will offer over 20 new customization options, new costumes and abilities, and four new environments: the Gods Palace, the Stratosphere of Planet Vegeta, a frozen battle zone between Broly, Goku, and Vegeta, and Kame House. A new solo mode, “Limit Breaker Journey,” featuring a branching scenario structure, will also be included. A free update will deploy improvements to the combat system for all players. Announced at the event, “Dragon Ball FighterZ” will add Goku (SSJ4, DAIMA) to its roster on April 22. The DLC will also include 12 color themes for Super Saiyan 4 Goku, plus three avatars and three Z stamps. Finally, “Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2” will receive its final DLC, “Future Saga Chapter 4,” in the summer of 2026, completing the announcements for these franchises.
