Game Development at ITA Sparks Controversy Over Sensitive Epstein-Inspired Title
During a computer engineering class at the Aeronautics Institute of Technology (ITA) in São José dos Campos, São Paulo, students presented a game referencing the Jeffrey Epstein case. Titled The Escape of Sid, the game centers on a 15-year-old kidnap victim attempting to escape six men on an island. The character "Sid" is not a student in the class and was not involved in the game's development. According to G1 Portal, an unidentified student reported that the presentation proceeded without teacher intervention, despite the sensitive subject matter; the presentation also elicited laughter from the class.
