Team Cherry has announced a native version of Hollow Knight for the Nintendo Switch 2, scheduled to launch in 2026 alongside a substantial update for all platforms where the game is available. This updated version, Hollow Knight: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, will offer technical improvements akin to those seen in Silksong's launch on the Nintendo Switch 2. Players can anticipate high frame rates, better resolutions, and enhanced graphical effects for smoother combat and movement. Existing Hollow Knight owners on the Nintendo Switch will receive the Switch 2 edition at no extra charge when it releases on the eShop in 2026.
