Monster Hunter Wilds Update 4 Unleashes Gogmazios Battle, New Armor & Weapons

Capcom has revealed the trailer and details for Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 4, scheduled for release on December 16th. The update introduces the Elder Dragon Gogmazios as the primary new threat, featuring a special mission where four human players can enlist the support of four AI hunters, forming an eight-member team to tackle the challenge. This update also allows players to craft new armor and weapons. Defeating Gogmazios unlocks a repeatable mission that awards materials for upgrading Rarity 8 Artian armor into Gogma Artian weapons. In addition, hunters at HR100 can activate Transcendence functionalities, breaking the limit of Armor Spheres and further enhancing armor pieces. These upgrades will be valuable against both the new monster and the emerging threat of Arch-Tempered Jin Dahaad. (Image credit: Capcom) Next week, a Capcom livestream will reveal more information about Monster Hunter Rise and its RPG spin-off, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, which returns to story-driven, turn-based gameplay and is slated to release in February 2025 on Nintendo Switch 2 and other platforms.
