Resident Evil Revelations Leak Confirms Leon S. Kennedy and Grace Ashcroft as Playable Characters

Even though Capcom tried to keep it secret, the official PlayStation Store leaked art for Resident Evil: Revelation, confirming Leon S. Kennedy as a playable protagonist alongside Grace Ashcroft. The art appeared on the Resident Evil: Revelation page during the preorder process and remains visible. Dusk Golem, an X profile known for accurately predicting Resident Evil news, affirmed that Leon would be a key playable character. Even after Capcom revealed Grace Ashcroft, Dusk Golem maintained Leon would have a significant role in Revelation. Resident Evil: Revelation will be featured at The Game Awards this week, making it likely a new segment starring Leon will be showcased. The PlayStation Store leak also seemingly confirmed Leon S. Kennedy's appearance in Resident Evil: Requiem. Players preloading the standard version on PlayStation 5 spotted Leon in the background of the cover art just before The Game Awards, suggesting Capcom will announce his role in an upcoming trailer. In the artwork, Leon, reminiscent of his appearance in Resident Evil 4, stands over Grace Ashcroft with a gritty and iconic look.

Resident Evil Revelation and Requiem Unveil Dual Role for Leon Kennedy

Given Capcom's typical blend of horror and action in Resident Evil titles, Revelation will likely feature Grace Ashcroft in the horror-focused sections, while Leon handles the action-heavy chapters. Interestingly, in an interview published on the official series website in June, game director Koshi Nakanishi noted the difficulty of placing Leon in a horror setting: "He doesn’t really fit with horror...Nobody wants to see Leon getting spooked by any little thing." Resident Evil: Requiem will be released on February 27, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X|S. The PlayStation Store leak appears to point to Leon Kennedy appearing in both Resident Evil: Revelation and Resident Evil: Requiem.
