Disney Dreamlight Valley: Viceversa Kingdom and New Characters Arrive in “Emotional Rescue” Update

Disney Dreamlight Valley launched its free “Emotional Rescue” update on August 20th. Inspired by Pixar’s Viceversa world, this update introduces a new kingdom, two highly anticipated characters, events, and gameplay enhancements. Players can access this new content by opening a gate at the Dream Castle, which leads to the Viceversa world. Here, Joy and Sadness, two iconic film characters, join the adventure. Within this area, players will explore Emotions HQ, repair Riley’s console, and retrieve lost memories. Completing various quests culminates in staging a major dream production to officially welcome Joy and Sadness to the Valley. Each character also offers unique friendship rewards. The temporary “Memory Mania” event returns from September 3rd until the 16th. During this period, players can acquire new companions inspired by emotions from Viceversa 2, along with hockey gear in the colors of Riley’s fictional team, the Fog Horns. The update also introduces a new Star Path, “Retro Roadtrip,” featuring retro furniture, vintage summer clothing, and new looks for Mickey and Donald. Additionally, car enthusiasts can incorporate items from the iconic Cozy Cone Motel into their Valley’s decor.

Disney Dreamlight Valley: Enhanced Gameplay & Expanded Photo Mode in “Emotional Rescue” Update

Beyond new content, the “Emotional Rescue” update brings several gameplay enhancements. Players can now place diagonal fences, and new villager stands will appear in the A Rift In Time and The Storybook Vale expansions. Furthermore, players can purchase three floating islands with Mist, exclusively within A Rift In Time. The photo mode, previously enhanced, now expands with two new features: decorative patterns and a personal gallery capable of saving up to six snapshots. These additions complete the list of enhancements in the current update.
