The Capcom NEXT event will provide more information about Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, a game whose name may be somewhat misleading as it is more accurately described as a remake rather than a remaster. In response to this point, Capcom has clarified that while the game features significant visual updates with completely reworked 3D models and enhanced lighting management, along with support for 4K resolution at 60 frames per second, some developers chose to call it a remaster due to the preservation of original animations and gameplay elements. However, this description can be misleading regarding gameplay changes; Capcom specifies that modifications have been made to game mechanics, including allowing Frank West to run and aim simultaneously, which was not possible in the 2006 version. Additionally, the user interface has been updated with automatic saving features, and NPCs now exhibit more natural behaviors. In summary, despite Capcom’s description, Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is essentially a remake set for release on September 19th next year, available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S at €49.99.
