During the Summer Games Fest, Sony Interactive Entertainment and Insomniac Games have announced details about Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. While there will be no standalone DLC, players will receive new costumes for both Peter Parker and Miles Morales as a complimentary addition. Eight outfits are being introduced, created in collaboration with artists including Colm Dillane (aka KidSuper), Vini Jr., Lando Norris, and Rina Sawayama. The inspiration behind these designs is clear; for instance, KidSuper crafted the down-filled jacket with a purple accent, while football player Vini Jr. contributed a design evoking Brazil through specific color mesh that mirrors the Brazilian flag.
Lando Norris proposed an ambitious and sport-inspired design for a full-face helmet and suit that embodies speed. Rina Sawayama contributed by proposing the Motorchic costume, which allows Peter Parker to stand out with its black and gold duo. These costumes originate from Spider-Man 1 games and the “Miles Morales” DLC. They include the Last Stand costume, highly requested by Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 fans, the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse suit, the animated Miles Morales costume from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and finally, the Uptown Pride costume intended for Miles Morales.
