Respawn Entertainment has stated that the prolonged use of these tools has damaged the competitive integrity of Apex Legends, necessitating these disciplinary actions. The company will not consider appeals, emphasizing that the penalty for using this hardware is severe and permanent. In the past year, Respawn Entertainment banned over 2,000 accounts for using input-spoofing devices like XIM.
