Two years without news of Metal Slug Tactics, but DotEmu appears to be nearing completion, as the young Parisian company has just announced the release date for their game. This autumn will see the launch of this spin-off from the renowned NeoGeo series across PC, PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. A new trailer has been released, reminding fans that while it is not a classic run & gun title, Metal Slug Tactics is instead a Tactical-RPG, which represents an innovative direction chosen by DotEmu. Despite the game’s gameplay differing significantly from its predecessors, the visual style stays true to the original material with meticulously crafted graphics. Notably, procedural elements have been introduced into the game, featuring randomly arranged levels that incorporate roguelike mechanics.
Metal Slug Tactics will be available on PC from June 10 to 17 for a limited time as part of the Steam Neo Fest.
