Announced at the Game Awards 2024 last month, Split Fiction is the latest offering from Hazelight Studios, founded by Josef Fares, known for his expertise in creating mandatory cooperative games. Following the initial introduction of its concept, more details about its gameplay have emerged. This includes the ability to take on roles other than those of the main characters, Mio and Zoé. Specifically, players will experience certain levels through the perspectives of various entities within these young women’s worlds, such as a fairy or even a gorilla. Consequently, the gameplay mechanics will adjust accordingly. Split Fiction strives to enhance its gameplay variety, as demonstrated in a new video showing the heroines engaging in activities like ski-nautical riding, snowboarding, surfing sandworms (a nod to Dune), skydiving, dragon riding, and motorcycle racing to combat bosses. It is hoped that these sequences will add significant value rather than merely expanding the content unnecessarily. The game is set for release on March 6th, available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series.
