With two months remaining until the release of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, Saber Interactive is experiencing a busy period. As a result, the studio has decided to cancel the planned summer beta testing in order to focus on optimizing the game ahead of its launch. This decision was made because setting up the beta would have required resources and additional investment from the development team, which is already concentrating all efforts on ensuring that the version released on September 9th is flawless.
Space Marine 2 is nearly ready. We are now fully focusing on optimization, polishing, and resolving remaining issues before the September 9th launch. This means we will not be releasing a public online beta, as this would hinder the development teams’ preparation for the full launch, and our priority is to ensure the best possible experience at release.
To address concerns, studio Relic released a developer diary to provide more insight into the game, particularly highlighting the performances of the actors who contributed their likenesses and voices to the various characters. This also includes new glimpses of gameplay that remain as intense as before, reminding us that the in-house 3D engine enables a system capable of displaying hundreds of enemies on screen without ever slowing down the action.
