Nintendo has announced Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, a new entry in its motion-controlled sports series, set to launch on October 22, 2026, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2. Preorders are now available. This sequel to the 2022 title, Nintendo Switch Sports, will feature a dozen activities designed for solo play or multiplayer fun using the motion controls of the new Joy-Con 2. The full list of sports includes: Archery Basketball Bowling Golf Jump Rope Power Cruising Prop Plane Skateboarding Table Tennis Tennis Thumb Wrestling Volleyball Gameplay in Thumb Wrestling will utilize the Joy-Con 2’s vertical tilt and shoulder button. Jump Rope and Skateboarding are among the new leisure activities introduced, with Skateboarding reportedly using Joy-Con 2 mouse controls. Nintendo Switch Sports Resort draws inspiration from the Wii Sports Resort, described as a spiritual successor. While it brings back activities like basketball and power cruising, some from the original Wii Sports Resort, such as sword dueling, frisbee, cycling, and canoeing, will not be included.
