The Pokémon Company has revealed the artwork for the 2026 Pokémon World Championships, which will take place in San Francisco, USA, in August. This unique artwork showcases a variety of popular Pokémon, incorporating San Francisco-themed elements into their designs. The artwork also depicts a Poké Ball as a globe, perhaps suggesting a future shift in focus toward the East Coast of the USA. Registration for the 2026 Pokémon World Championships opens on April 2, 2026, at 5 p.m. Pacific Time (PT), 7 p.m. Central Time (CT), and 8 p.m. Eastern Time (ET). In 2027, the Nintendo Switch 2 will receive three new Pokémon titles: Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves. These games will feature three new Pokémon named Browt, Pombon, and Gecqua, and they will also offer Portuguese language support for Brazilian players.

From April 2 to April 23, individuals can register to purchase passes for the event. After April 23, organizers will randomly draw names, granting selected trainers the opportunity to buy passes. Two pass options are available: a MultiDay Pass or a MultiDay Pass with the Arena Experience. Single-day passes will not be offered initially. Those selected will have 72 hours to complete their registration and purchase a pass for themselves, one additional adult guest, and up to three youth guests. In addition to the World Championship, fans can also register for PokémonXP, scheduled to be held at the Moscone Center during the event. Currently, the only confirmed aspect of PokémonXP is the involvement of the Pokémon Center. The artwork for the 2026 Pokémon World Championships is divided into two scenes. One side depicts Pikachu in an astronaut suit alongside Charizard, Jirachi, and other Pokémon in a space setting. The other side portrays Pikachu as a marching band leader, surrounded by Pokémon in an energetic scene with Poké Balls and lightning effects.

Pokémon World Championships 2026 Ticket Pricing & Multi-Day Pass Requirements

Tickets for the World Championships 2026 are priced at $120 for adults and $70 for children. However, to guarantee attendance on Sunday for the finals, a multi-day pass is required, costing $150 for adults and $120 for children.
