The BGA awarded prizes in categories such as Best Mobile Game, Best Visuals, and Best Narrative, with winners chosen by online fan voting. The Brazuca of the Year (GOTY) was also announced at the event, which distinguishes itself from other awards shows by originating from the community’s passion for indie games that often have dedicated fan bases but receive little mainstream attention.
