Digital Foundry has released a performance analysis of Outlive 25, the remastered version of the 2000 Brazilian real-time strategy (RTS) classic, just one week before its official release. In a video showcasing the game, Digital Foundry highlighted the refurbished graphics and other technical details. The analysis commended both the campaign and the art direction of Outlive 25. Digital Foundry noted that the remaster allows North American and European audiences to play this Brazilian classic on modern computers and to experience Continuum's work with greater clarity than was possible at the time of its original release. Outlive 25, the remastered version of the iconic Brazilian RTS title, is set to launch on April 30 for PC via Steam, published by Criticalleap. The remaster boasts improved graphics, enhanced audio, a redesigned interface, and online multiplayer support. It also includes a new autosave feature and a replay mode. Preorders for Outlive 25 are available on Nuuvem, and the game can also be added to Steam wishlists.

Brazil's Pioneering RTS Outlive Returns with Global Release Via Criticalleap

Continuum Entertainment, founded in 1998, developed the original Outlive. The studio gained international recognition with Outlive, which was released in 2000 during a period of popularity for RTS games. The title is considered a pioneering milestone for Brazil, both within the RTS genre and the national game development industry. Even during its development, Outlive attracted significant attention from the community and press, generating anticipation as one of the earliest Brazilian games with global market potential. The original Outlive also attracted the attention of a major publisher, Take-Two Interactive, the company behind Grand Theft Auto. Take-Two Interactive distributed Outlive in North American and European markets, helping to position Brazil on the global game development scene. Criticalleap, the publishing arm of Nuuvem, the official gamestore of Latin America, is bringing Outlive 25 to players. Criticalleap aims to connect the talent and creativity of Brazilian and Latin American studios with the global market.

Brief Summary
It all started when biohazard safety issues at the state facility prompted the government to shut it down for months, a spokesman told TV News. The statement said the problems date back to several months ago, when a storm destroyed the steam autoclave sterilization plant that processed the waste. There was no biological threat to public health, it was unlikely to spread widely. But that was not true. The threat spread across the country. Disease and mutation spread among the population. Most channels carried the government's announcement but started studio debates, videos and live broadcasts from the country. You will play as Peter, who embarks on a journey to prove that the disease and mutations that spread among the population, were not an accident as the news suggested. Peter made his research and though he might know where the government's labs and bases that made the virus were. While traveling on his journey, Peter gets into an accident and has to search in the woods for help, but there was something unexpected waiting to be discovered. In a world where weapons are nonexistent, survive the harsh environment using your observational skill, intelligence, and patience. Will it be enough? That's up to you. Outlive is a first-person survival horror game, set in a post-apocalyptic world after a virus infected most of the population. You are determined to prove that the virus was not an accident, but rather planned and released by the government. You will go out on a journey to find the lab's and collect evidence. The only chance of survival is to use your speed and agility to outsmart your enemies, solve puzzles and make your way to safety after collecting all the evidence.
