Younger Aragorn Unveiled in The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum – Jamie Dornan Cast as Iconic Character

Warner Bros. has announced the principal cast for The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum, including Jamie Dornan as Aragorn. Dornan, age 43, will portray Aragorn in his younger years, succeeding Viggo Mortensen in this prequel to The Fellowship of the Ring. Andy Serkis, who is directing the film, confirmed on April 2, 2026, that The Hunt for Gollum will explore Aragorn’s quest to capture Gollum between the events of The Hobbit and The Fellowship of the Ring.
