The Boys: Trigger Warning, a virtual reality game developed through a collaboration between The Tree XR and Sony Pictures Entertainment, is available today for Meta Quest 3. This adventure and stealth action title, priced at $29.99, allows players to explore the darker aspects of the universe known from the Amazon Prime Video series. The game features an original storyline that runs parallel to the TV series, incorporating the voices of actors such as Laz Alonso, Jensen Ackles, Colby Minifie, and P.J. Byrne. Arvore’s YouTube channel features a preview of extended gameplay. Tree Studio offered a sneak peek of the game at their VR Games Showcase last Tuesday, promising an action-packed experience for fans and newcomers alike. Ricardo Justus of Tree Studio noted that The Boys: Trigger Warning is the culmination of three years of work on superhero-inspired prototypes. He also acknowledged the collaboration with Sony Pictures Entertainment and the series creators in developing the game.

In Trigger Warning, players assume the role of Lucas Costa, whose life is upended following a terrifying incident at Voughtland, Vought Corporation’s theme park. After being injected with Compound V, Lucas’s life takes a dark turn, leading him to join The Boys in their dangerous mission to eliminate Vought, driven by a desire to avenge the Armstrongs. However, the powers granted by Temp Compound V are not without their price. The game is rated M for Mature audiences (17+) due to intense scenes of violence, blood, sexual content, nudity, drug use, and strong language. It is currently available for wishlisting on the PlayStation Store, with further details coming soon. Concurrently, the fifth and final season of The Boys, the Emmy-winning series, will premiere with a two-episode launch on April 8 on Prime Video and will be available weekly in over 240 countries and territories.
