Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Introduces Blue Mary

SNK announced on March 19 that Blue Mary, the next DLC fighter in the Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Season 2 Pass, will arrive in the game on March 26. This fan-favorite grappler, known for her powerful Sambo fighting style, debuted in Fatal Fury 3: Road to the Final Victory in 1995. In Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, Blue Mary uses attacks that can be extended into grabs, along with special moves like Spin Fall, Vertical Arrow, and Real Counter. While she may not hit as hard as Nightmare Geese and lacks a direct ranged attack, her moves are easy to learn but demand precise timing to master. Blue Mary dominates opponents with potent combos, counters (even aerial attacks), and deceptive feints into grapple moves. Although her combo variety is somewhat limited, mastering her strategic combat offers a rewarding experience. In Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, Blue Mary gains a unique edge over her The King of Fighters XV incarnation with the S.P.G system, enabling a Commando Sambo move exclusive to this title. As a special agent operating in South Town, she now sets out to uncover more about Geese's legacy and the sacred scrolls.

Allegra Clark and Sarah Emi Bridcutt voice Blue Mary in English and Japanese, respectively. In Arcade Mode, Blue Mary enters another King of Fighters tournament seeking information about Geese's legacy, the sacred scrolls, and their connection to Stroheim. Meanwhile, in South Town Episodes mode, she investigates the disappearance of Marky following a call from Kevin Rian, a SWAT agent protecting the town. The "Legends Unleashed" Season 2 will introduce six characters through monthly releases. The confirmed lineup includes Kim Jae Hoon, Nightmare Geese, Blue Mary, and Wolfgang Krauser, with two more to be announced. This season coincides with the release of the Fatal Fury: City of The Wolves Legend Edition, which includes the base game and Seasons 1 and 2, granting access to all currently confirmed DLC characters. At this time, SNK has no plans to offer the base game and Season 1 for individual purchase. The Fatal Fury series, a landmark franchise that fueled the 1990s fighting game boom after its debut in 1991, saw its most recent installment with Garou: Mark of the Wolves (1999) until the arrival of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves 26 years later.
