Game of Thrones Returns, but This Time in Video Games

Fortnite launched a notable crossover with the Game of Thrones universe on March 20, 2026, after initial leaks. The official announcement followed reports from leakers like ShiinaBR and FireMonkey that the collaboration with Warner Bros.' HBO property was imminent. Epic Games will sell the initial Game of Thrones content separately in the Item Shop, rather than including it in the current season's Battle Pass. This first release features Daenerys Targaryen, Jon Snow, and The Night King. The inclusion of The Night King aligns with the current Fortnite season's Ice King theme. The timing also coincides with renewed fan interest in the saga, boosted by the success of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. In-game text reads, "Winter is coming." Despite Epic Games' attempts at secrecy, dataminers bypassed some of the update's encryption, revealing highly detailed in-game models of Jon Snow and The Night King. However, Daenerys Targaryen's appearance remains a mystery, as Epic Games has kept her skin encrypted within the game files. Each skin can be purchased individually or as part of a bundle. Purchasing the three skins separately would cost 4,500 V-Bucks.
