Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome Rush Announced as New Parallel Project for the Franchise

As CD Projekt Red prepares the Cyberpunk 2077 sequence at its new American studio, the company has announced two new projects to maintain interest in the franchise: Cyberpunk: Into the Night and Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome Rush. Cyberpunk: Into the Night is a physical card game designed for solo play or up to four players, offering another way for fans to engage with the Cyberpunk universe. Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome Rush, developed by UNIS under license from CD Projekt Red, brings the world of the popular RPG to arcades with a driving-action experience inspired by Road Rash. The game, set in Night City, features flashy sci-fi bike designs and a dedicated motorcycle cabinet with a 65-inch, 4K screen mounted on a motion base. Players can select from seven characters—including male and female versions of V, Vixen, Reaver, Rico, Tex, and Rebel—and race on eight different bikes across four tracks. To win, players use onboard weapons to battle rivals while racing through futuristic cityscapes. The easy-to-grasp controls involve managing a few buttons while steering.

Cyberpunk 2077's Chrome Rush Arcade Action - Intense Missions, Mercenary Life, & Fast Combat

Scheduled for release in arcades in 2026, Chrome Rush features high-speed races, intense drifting, and vehicle combat. CD Projekt Red describes the game as an action-focused experience with intense missions, putting players in the role of mercenaries facing high-risk operations. This arcade title emphasizes mobility, cybernetic implants, and fast combat, delivering shorter, dynamic play sessions. The physical machine will be on display at an upcoming trade show. Meanwhile, CD Projekt continues development on the official sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, internally known as Project Orion, utilizing Unreal Engine 5.
