Tactical Uprising in Santos Bay: A Historical Struggle by Mandinga Games

The developers have officially announced Black Sailors: A Santos Bay Tale, a tactical naval strategy game set in Santos Bay during the colonial era. Players lead a crew of enslaved Africans in a revolt, capturing ships and freeing people. They also battle Portuguese vessels while supporting quilombos. According to the development team, the game explores this historical period with careful research, including support from a Bahian historian. The team has observed some negative commentary, particularly in YouTube comments and on the game's Steam page, and aims to address misconceptions and foster understanding of this historical setting.
