Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection launched today on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Set two centuries after the War of Rupture, where the realms of Azuria and Vermeil remain divided, this RPG sequel invites players to explore a vibrant Monster Hunter world. The story begins with the hatching of twin Rathalos from a single egg, an event that triggers a series of conflicts and ecological disturbances. Players assume the role of either the Prince/Princess of Azuria or the Captain of the Rider Squad, tasked with protecting monster eggs, restoring ecosystems, and battling formidable monsters. The game features a character creation tool, turn-based battles using a Power, Speed, and Technique system, and a new synchronized attack system for group actions. Throughout their journey, players will encounter characters such as Vice-captain Gaul, monster expert Ogden, Kora, Simon, the newest Rider Thea, and Princess Eleanor of Vermeil.

Restoring ecosystems involves releasing monsters into the wild, which helps preserve endangered species and increases egg availability. The evolving ecosystem influences species traits and elemental attributes, and may even lead to the hatching of rare monsters. Players can ride monsties and use their unique abilities to climb, glide, or fly to new locations and discover hidden items. To celebrate the launch, Capcom has released the official music video and made free DLC available, including the Golden Tiara accessory and Simon’s Wind Serpent Friend layered armor. Additional content, such as the Additional Bow: Rudy set, is planned for release in Q4 2026. Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is available for purchase on the PlayStation Store (R 339.90), Nintendo eShop, Xbox Store, and Steam (R 299.00). Deluxe (R 461.90 to R 512.90) and Premium Deluxe Editions (R 512.90) are also available, with the Deluxe Edition including the Deluxe Kit with an extra Rudy Bow and special costumes, and the Premium Deluxe Edition adding a DLC cosmetic package featuring layered armor, hairstyles, and outfits. Save data from the demo version carries over to the full game.
