Nintendo Unveils "Yoshi and the Mysterious Book" for Switch 2 in May 2026

Nintendo has released a new trailer for Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, an exclusive platformer/puzzler coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. Developed and published by Nintendo, the game is scheduled to launch on May 21, 2026, as a key title in the console's first year. In Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, Yoshi journeys to an island inhabited by other Yoshis, where he encounters Mr. E, an encyclopedia that has fallen onto the island. Encouraged by Mr. E, Yoshi sets out to discover the creatures listed within the book, using his signature moves to eat, jump on, and carry them as he explores. Bowser Jr. also makes an appearance in the game. Charming Holiday, writer for GameRant, highlighted the new trailer, noting that the game's release coincides with the 30th anniversary of the Super Mario franchise in his [latest article](URL).
