Captain Tsubasa 2 Sets Field Ablaze with World Fighters, First Trailer Released

Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters - Intensified Anime-Style Football with Over 100 Playable Characters and New Super Moves

Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe has announced Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters, a new game based on Yoichi Takahashi’s classic manga series. The announcement included a first trailer, showcasing dynamic gameplay and promising high-energy matches in the series’ signature anime-style football. The game will feature at least 22 national teams, offering a roster of over 110 playable characters with more than 150 special moves on the field. Returning teams and characters will expand the game's universe. Players can also create their own character, team up with Tsubasa Ozora, and compete for the championship. Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters aims to surpass its predecessor with revamped on-field actions and flashy new super moves. Passes, dribbles, tackles, and interceptions will be more impactful, and shots on goal will feature a more strategic system between the goalkeeper and the attacker. This sequel is a continued collaboration between Bandai Namco Entertainment and Studio Tamsoft, who have been working together since the first game's release in 2020. Music composer Tadayoshi Makino has created more than 80 new tracks for the game. Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters is scheduled for release in 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC.
