A24 and Spooky Pictures Revive Leatherface's Terror Saga in New Texas Chainsaw Massacre Series

A24 has acquired the rights to develop a TV series based on the horror classic The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Glen Powell will serve as executive producer, The Hollywood Reporter reports, but will not appear in the series. J.T. Mollner, known for The Long Walk, is assisting with the writing. A24 is partnering with Spooky Pictures, Barnstorm, and Exurbia Films on the production, with Kim Henkel, a writer for the original film and its sequels, also involved. This series marks A24's first venture into the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise, which includes eight previous installments, remakes, and prequels, in addition to a separate film currently in development. This project promises to expand the legacy of Leatherface, the series’ infamous character and a favorite among horror genre fans.
