Horizon Hunters Gathering: The Online Cooperative Game of the Horizon Series

Horizon Hunters Gathering: Co-op Action in the Horizon Universe - Free-to-Play Fortnite-like Gameplay

Sony and Guerrilla Games have confirmed rumors of a Horizon online game with the announcement of Horizon Hunters Gathering, a new cooperative action title set in the Horizon universe. During the reveal, Guerrilla Games studio director Jan-Bart van Beek clarified that the studio remains committed to single-player experiences. Horizon Hunters Gathering will be a free-to-play game with gameplay familiar to players of titles like Fortnite. Up to three players will team up as hunters to take on mechanical enemies, requiring skillful play and coordinated teamwork in combat. Players must react quickly and work together to survive machine attacks while exploring the game's varied regions. The game will feature two modes: Machine Incursion: Players face waves of machines emerging from underground portals, culminating in a challenging boss encounter. Cauldron Descent: Players face a longer, multi-phase challenge that blends combat and exploration with hidden rewards across dynamically changing environments. Both modes are scheduled to be available in the early testing stage during a closed playtest in late February. Players can register through the PlayStation Beta Program.
