New Dragon Ball to be Revealed Tomorrow

40th Dragon Ball Anniversary Event Unveils New Animation and Game Details

Toei Animation and Bandai Namco will celebrate the 40th anniversary of Dragon Ball with Genkidamatsuri, an event featuring new projects from the franchise, including an animated project and a video game. The event promises announcements late Saturday and early Sunday. At 2 AM on January 25 (10 PM EST), voice actors Masako Nozawa and Akio Iyoku will present news from the Dragon Ball universe in a half-hour broadcast. Toei Animation will release additional details at a later date. The announcements follow the passing of Akira Toriyama and the conclusion of Dragon Ball Daima, a period of uncertainty for the franchise due to rights issues. An hour after Nozawa and Iyoku's presentation, at 3 AM on January 25 (11 PM EST), Bandai Namco will announce a new Dragon Ball video game. Possibilities include Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3, Dragon Ball FighterZ 2, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot 2, or Dragon Ball Sparking Zero—or it might be an entirely new title.
