Awaited Xbox game to get PS5 version

Fable Reboot Unveiled: Vast Open-World Adventure Coming to Multiple Platforms in 2026

Playground Games recently revealed gameplay for the upcoming Fable reboot, slated for release in autumn 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Game Pass Ultimate. The developers envision a vast, player-driven open world filled with British humor and challenging moral decisions, where players can customize their character's appearance and combat style. The game will also feature optional jobs, romance options, and the ability to manage a home. According to Playground, this reboot—while a fresh start—stays true to the spirit of the original Lionhead Studios trilogy. Fable begins with the player as a child in a village, discovering their powers during a moment of panic. This event sets them on a path to forge their own legend. As players explore Albion, they will encounter familiar locations and returning characters, as Playground seeks to honor the series' legacy, promising an allegorical tale.
