Monster Hunter Wilds Update 4 Boosts Performance with Optimizations for All Platforms, PC-Specific Improvements Planned for January
Following months of player feedback requesting performance and visual improvements in Monster Hunter Wilds, Capcom has confirmed that Update 4, scheduled for December 16, will include GPU and CPU optimizations for all platforms. Monster Hunter Wilds has experienced performance issues on PC, and Capcom plans to release initial fixes next week. Further PC-specific optimizations are scheduled for January 2023 to address these issues. Capcom has not confirmed whether these changes will be implemented on other platforms and has yet to release specific details regarding the upcoming updates. Players have reported frame rate drops, crashes, and stuttering in Monster Hunter Wilds, negatively impacting the gaming experience. To address these problems, Capcom has improved processing time by distributing processes across frames and simplifying processes to reduce processing load. Memory usage has also been optimized throughout the game. Following the December enhancements on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC, Capcom will release PC-specific optimizations in January. These will include new graphical options to reduce processing load, improved shader compilation, VRAM usage adjustments, and high-resolution texture package optimizations, building upon the cross-platform improvements. In February, further system operation improvements impacting GPU and CPU performance will be introduced.
