Star Wars: KOTOR Remake Transferred to Mad Head Games under Saber Interactive

In March, Saber Interactive confirmed that the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake was still in development. With its teams focused on Space Marine 2 and Space Marine 3, however, the company had no specific updates. Saber Interactive COO Tim Willits affirmed that development continued, while a company representative told Stephen Totilo of Game Files that Disney dictates when news about its in-production games can be revealed. Totilo later reported that the KOTOR remake is now in the hands of a new producer. According to Game File, Disney is reworking Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2, codenamed Juliet, to restore content cut from the original game. Disney planned to move forward with the project as of March 2025, but without Aspyr Media, which had previously handled the KOTOR II remake before passing the project to Saber Interactive. Mad Head Games, a Saber Interactive subsidiary, is now in charge of remaking the original Knights of the Old Republic.
