FromSoftware at The Game Awards? Lords of the Fallen Producer Hopes Not

FromSoftware Possible Appearance at The Game Awards Sparks CI Games' Curiosity and Anticipation for Lords of the Fallen Sequel News

As The Game Awards approach, host Geoff Keighley has unveiled a mysterious statue, sparking widespread speculation about its significance. Initial theories suggested connections to Diablo, God of War, or The Elder Scrolls, but these were officially dismissed. Some now speculate it may relate to Saros from PlayStation. Marek Tyminski, CEO of CI Games, has confirmed that the statue is not a promotion for Lords of the Fallen 2. Tyminski expressed his team's curiosity and acknowledged their pride that some fans believed the statue was connected to their game. He also conveyed their hope that it isn't related to FromSoftware, a company they deeply respect and aspire to emulate. Tyminski also stated that CI Games plans to share significant news soon regarding both Lords of the Fallen and its sequel, hinting that they've been actively listening to fan feedback since the August trailer release. Currently, CI Games has only publicly announced The Duskbloods for Nintendo Switch 2. FromSoftware has revealed new details at Keighley's events in the past, making their potential appearance at The Game Awards 2025 unsurprising. Industry insider Jason Schreier has commented on the statue, expressing confidence that fans will appreciate it, though he refrained from revealing further details.

FromSoftware's Cryptic Messages Spark Bloodborne Sequel Rumors and Duskbloods/Dark Souls 4 Speculation

The Game Awards' official X account posted a cryptic message: "The [Hunters] are silent. [Yharnam] bleeds. [New beasts] stir." This fuels rumors of a Bloodborne reveal, especially since an eerie monolith resembling the statue has appeared in the Mojave Desert. Fans have been quick to connect the clues, suggesting possibilities like Bloodborne 2. Whether the statue actually heralds an announcement from FromSoftware, perhaps for The Duskbloods or even Dark Souls 4, remains to be seen.
